iPhone’s iOS 4 Folders are great for organization, but need to communicate better visually

iPhone

by Andrew Lund

I installed iOS 4 on my iPhone yesterday. The new Multitasking and Folders features are exactly what the OS needed. They are going to change the way we interact with our devices. The one thing I noticed, however, is that after organizing my apps into folders, it took me longer to find them because the folders weren't visually intuitive.  As a solution, I mocked up an example of what a simple update could look like. This visual update would allow someone to pick from a library of icons, making the user experience more pleasant.
